Long Beach, CA -- February 19, 2012 -- In Long Beach last weekend, the Impact Dance Center Teams, under the direction of Catherine Conrad Gray, Tawny Chapman, & Soleil Garcia, went up against dozens of dance studios from Southern California for top honors at Bella Donna Production's That's Dancin' where they took home the coveted award for "TOP STUDIO."

High Score & Overall winners included:

"Nylon Smile" received 1st Overall in Senior Advanced Solos and HIGHEST SCORE OF THE COMPETITION.

"Count to 10" received 1st Overall in Senior Intermediate Duos.

"Wild is the Wind" received 1st overall Senior Beginning Solos. 

"Bloom" received 1st Overall in Junior Beginning Groups.

"Trolley Song" received 1st Overall in Junior Beginning Duos.

"76 Trombones" received 1st Overall in Junior Beginning Solos.

Judge's awards went to "Turn to Stone" and "Halfway Down the Stairs." Impact Dance Center received 19 High First Awards, 16 First Place Awards, & 1 High Second Award. Congratulations to all of our wonderful dancers and choreographers!

This class is suited for dancers that have an intermediate-advanced understanding of ballet technique (Level 3-5).

Ms. Christina Del Carmen, a current student at California State University Long Beach pursuing degrees in Kinesiology and Dance, discovered her interest in dance at the age of three when she began tap and ballet at Miss Bonnie’s Studio. Her passion for classical ballet was awakened at the age of five when she began training at Anaheim Ballet in Anaheim, CA.  She has performed in numerous ballets most notably as a slave in the Kirov Ballet’s production of La Bayadere and as a polichinelle in Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker and has competed in Youth America Grand Prix.  Additionally, Christina has been privleged to have studied with both American Ballet Theater and Boston Ballet as a member of their prestigious summer intensives.

*Dancers adding 'recital' classes to their schedule after this date must have approval from studio directors prior to enrolling.

*No 'switching' of classes after this date. 

As our dancers start to prepare for their end of year performances and events, it is imperative that they maintain consistent attendance in their weekly classes. 
If you are needing to drop a class, please remember that you are responsible for all charges to your account after the 1st. Class changes must be made before the 30th to avoid outstanding tuition charges. All account and class drops must be done in person, at the studio front desk.
